So what’s new?
Some effort has been made to ease the work of users… You can now synchronize sticky posts and publications dates. Moreover, you can now decide with separate options if you want, for example, synchronize taxonomies and custom fields but not the featured image… You can now easily decide if you want to activate the languages and translations management for media, as well as for custom post types and taxonomies. Polylang should also now better integrate with the new media management for WordPress 3.5.
Under the hood, a lot of work has been done to make Polylang “emulate” WPML. So Polylang is now able to read the file “wpml-config.xml” used by plugins and themes for a better multilingual support. And several functions of the WPML API are now supported. It means that more and more plugins and themes will be compatible with Polylang.
This new version also includes, as usual, several bug corrections. And finally, it is important to notice that the documentation is no more supplied with the plugin package but is now maintained online. The new features of this version will be added to the documentation in the coming days.
Important note: If you want to upgrade from a version older than 0.8, then you need to upgrade to an intermediate version first (for example: 0.7.2 -> 0.9.8 -> 1.0)
